10mm Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Dynamic Driver

At the heart of the MOONDROP CHU III is a 10mm dynamic driver with an aluminum-magnesium alloy composite diaphragm. The diaphragm combines low weight with high rigidity, allowing it to react quickly to changes in the audio signal while maintaining good structural control.

This construction helps the CHU III reproduce fine details and extended high frequencies while maintaining controlled bass and a natural midrange. The upgraded driver architecture also contributes to low nonlinear distortion, making subtle information in recordings easier to hear.

Scientific PopAvg-DF (JM-1) Acoustic Tuning

MOONDROP applies its measurement-based acoustic design approach to the CHU III. The earphones are tuned toward PopAvg-DF (JM-1) frequency response characteristics based on HRTF, with adjustments made to maintain a smooth tonal balance, clear imaging, controlled bass response, and extended treble.
